Baked Chicken Drumsticks

Happy Friday everyone!! Who’s excited for the weekend?? (Raising hand emoji inserted here.) We have a busy weekend ahead of us. One of Chris’s fraternity brothers is getting married Saturday & it’s always fun to get together with all of his friends. They seem to think they’re still in college so all of us girlfriends & wives-to-be get a good laugh out of making fun of them.

Saturday we will be driving up to Westlake Village for the wedding & then shacking up at a friend’s house in the Valley. A mini getaway is super needed, even if it is just for a night. Then Sunday night we are going to see Jason Aldean which I am super excited for!! Last summer we went to see him at Irvine Meadows & I talked Chris into leaving before the concert even started. I am just not really a fan of those concerts were you are fighting for a spot & everyone is pushing each other. I think I even broke a sandal at that show. RIP.

Well anyways, this week has been pretty insane too, so tonight I am throwing together a quick baked chicken drumstick dish. I’ve been making this a lot this summer.

I am obsessed with Flavor God’s seasonings. Chris’s mom introduced them to me last summer & I haven’t stopped using them since. Flavor God is chemical & filler free seasonings that are Gluten Free & certified Kosher. My mom never cooked with a lot of salt so whenever I try new seasonings they always seem to be a little too salty, but not with Flavor God. There is so much freshness in these flavors, they don’t need to be masked with tons of sodium.

This super simple rub is perfect for the summer. When we moved, we retired our old grill & we haven’t gotten around to replacing it. So baking chicken has been the next best thing. Besides this amazing Lemon Garlic seasoning, check out some of Flavor God’s other seasonings here.



5 drumsticks
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1 Tbsp ginger, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
Olive oil
Black pepper
1 tsp Flavor God’s Lemon Garlic Seasoning

1. Preheat oven to 375⁰.
2. Lay all 5 chicken legs on a baking sheet. Top with a light drizzle of olive oil and juice from one lemon.
3. Sprinkle minced garlic and ginger on top of the chicken. Lightly pepper.
4. Sprinkle ½ tsp of Flavor God’s Lemon Garlic Seasoning on top of drumsticks.
5. Once the oven is fully preheated, bake for 30 minutes.
6. Flip chicken and re-season with the remainder of the Lemon Garlic Seasoning. Bake for another 30 minutes.
